About Script Scribe

The concept of Script Scribe is the brainchild of practicing orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Stephen Appleton. Recognizing the need for accurate prescription tracking under time constraints and for a simple to use method of prescription data acquisition of controlled medications, Script Scribe was developed in 2016. The purpose of Script Scribe is twofold: to protect the patient by allowing for a complete, accessible record of potentially abused prescription medications and to empower prescribers of these medications by allowing them to have the most up to date information of their prescription records at their fingertips via their mobile device.

How It Works

The Script Scribe application allows for data input two ways. One option is scanning barcodes on the prescription to record the patient and prescription information with our simple to use interface. Another is to manually enter the information through a simple series of scroll wheels and saved data. This record is kept on the prescriber's secured mobile device with a secondary available layer of security included in the app. Once patient data and prescription information is added it is easily and immediately searchable through the app. Additionally, the data can be synced and saved to an excel spreadsheet.
